January 2026 Update
I thank you all so much for rice &vegetables, blankets, sarees, shirts, lunghees, towels and winter rugs , banquet to all the lepers. All the lepers were filled with happiness and enjoyed their banquet joyfully and prayed for you all. Your kind-hearted love filled their hearts with great joy on the occasion of our Lord’s birthday .
Joyful Celebrations
Celebration and expressions of praise and worship rang through two of India’s leper villages as great testimonies of God’s provision, compassion, and love filled the air. But, that’s not all …
Why Support the Lepers
The emotional toll is profound for those with leprosy. Being rejected by family and society leaves deep scars. Many struggle with loneliness, hopelessness, and a diminished sense of self-worth. Basic necessities such as food, clean water, and clothing are often scarce. Many depend on occasional charity or long hours of begging to meet their daily needs. Torn or insufficient clothing is common, leaving them exposed to discomfort, illness, and indignity. They have no choice but to beg in the streets for used outfits and leftover food.
Why Support the Pastors
Despite all their struggles, poor pastors continue to serve faithfully, offering emotional, spiritual, and moral support to their communities. Their dedication goes unnoticed, and their hardships largely remain unseen by the outside world. Their lives are a powerful reminder of the need for compassion, support, and recognition of those who work silently and selflessly in some of the most neglected corners of society.
Overwhelmed
“Most of the crops have totally fallen down to the ground and many of our pastors are also affected. Please pray for them. Since the crops are damaged, the prices of daily needs have been increased. Please remember all the pastors in your valuable prayers.”
Understanding Leprosy
Leprosy often strikes harder in marginalized populations: tribal communities, scheduled castes, remote rural areas. Stigma and discrimination remain big challenges. Many lepers often face huge socio‐economic disadvantage: poor housing, little access to mainstream services, high levels of disability among residents. The study in 2024 found unmet needs in 129 colonies across seven states in India.
Risks of Tribal Ministry
A recent communication from our team in India told a story of determination, commitment, and love at all costs. We’re so honored to partner with men like BJ, who has been in the ministry for 25 years.
Seasoned Prayer
Pastor PK shares his testimony. Typhoid and Malaria are no match for the One who holds our lives in His tender loving hands. When prayer is seasoned with faith becomes expectation, when trust evolves from surrender, and when life in the tribal areas comes with anticipation of God showing up! Miracles are not uncommon when a life is fully surrendered to the One who loves us most.
Facing opposition
Opposition to the Gospel message is often expected in unreached or unevangelized areas. But, expecting it doesn’t make it any easier. A recent report our pastors related their experience with opposing forces determined to stop the Gospel message from transforming lives of men, women and children during street rallies in tribal villages.
